Jan 31, 2018Coil processing equipment manufacturer Guild International, Bedford, Ohio, has been acquired by three long-time employees. The 60-year-old company has been privately held by the founding Wheeler family. Michael Wheeler, son of founder Don Wheeler, will continue as chairman of the board under the new ownership.
Joseph Thomas, formerly a vice president of operations, is the new company president. Bill Maruschak will remain CFO and Sales Engineer Mark Wagner will become vice president of sales for the company, which specializes in coil joining processes and equipment.
“As a longtime employee, I’ve always known that Guild International was a solid, stable company that built great machines,” says Thomas. “When the opportunity was presented to purchase the company from Mike, with Bill and Mark as my partners, I knew this would be a chance of a lifetime. Now Bill, Mark and myself have the opportunity to take Guild into the future, built on a solid reputation of 60 years serving many industries.”
