Advanced Gauging Technologies has received a two gauge purchase order from Galvasid, Apodaca, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. The order is for one AGT 800 Laser Thickness Gauge plus one AGT High-Performance Width Gauge.

American Iron, a Lawton Standard company based in Waukesha, Wis., will begin stocking Versa-Bar continuous cast iron bar products and other alloy bars, including bronze, at QESC. The Houston-based QESC is a sister company of American Iron.

National Tool & Manufacturing Co. has completed installation and validation of a new gantry surface grinding machine at its Elgin, Ill., facility. The expansion continues National's expansion of more value-added processing to complete the company’s focused steel offerings. This is the first gantry machine in North America from Zeirsch GMBH, a leading global supplier of ultra-precision grinding equipment. It allows for plates over 70 inches wide.

Steel Dynamics reported record net sales of $22.3 billion in 2022. Net income for the Fort Wayne, Ind.-based minimill company also came in at a record $3.9 billion.

North American Stainless will launch a $244-million expansion at its facility in Ghent, Ky. The expansion will add 200,000 tons of capacity, representing 20 percent of its existing production.
