U.S. Steel Corp. plans to sell its two blast furnaces at Granite City Works to SunCoke Energy Inc., a raw material processing and handling company. Under terms of a non-binding letter of intent, SunCoke would convert the facility into a two-million ton granulated pig iron production facility.
