Leahy Named President at Delaware Valley Steel

Delaware Valley Steel, Upper Darby, Pa., a leading processor and distributor of carbon and alloy steel plate, has appointed Bill Leahy as its new president, effective July 1. He has been serving as company vice president.

In his new role, Leahy will lead the company in every facet of its day-to-day operations. Leahy spent 10 years at Chapel Steel prior to joining DVS in 2021.

Jerry Sharpe, currently president of DVS, will transition to the newly formed role of CEO. Sharpe joined DVS in 1991 as an outside sales representative. During his tenure he has worked in every facet of the company including sales, operations and inventory management before being named president in 2012. Sharpe will oversee the company’s vision for strategic growth in his new role.
