NASA Welcomes Three New Members

The North American Steel Alliance has welcomed three new members to the purchasing  collective: Harris Steel, Custom Steel Processing and Alkar Steel and Processing.

Harris Steel, Cicero, Ill., is a family-owned service center founded in 1950. It operates three coil slitting lines, ranging in thickness from 0.010 inches to 0.1875 inches. It works with both ferrous and nonferrous products.

Custom Steel Processing is a flat-rolled steel processor operating five slitting lines, one cut-to-length line, two blanking/shearing lines and a pickle line.  The company has facilities in Madison and Granite City, Ill.

Alkar offers slitting and packaging from its facility in the Detroit area. It provides hot-rolled, cold-rolled, high-carbon spring steel, HSLA cold- and hot-rolled steel, galvanized, galvannealed/aluminized and stainless.
