Olympic Steel Inc. will open a new facility in Houston to support operations for its Action Stainless business. The location is run by Jeff Lyons, general manager.

Hyundai Motor Group has committed to spend $21 billion to grow its U.S. operations, a project that will include the construction of a minimill facility in Louisiana. The mill project is part of a $6 billion investment to enhance parts, logistics and steel business, increasing the localization of auto parts and strengthening supply chains.

Friedman Industries Inc., a manufacturer and processor of steel products, will transfer its common stock listing to the Nasdaq Global Select Market and commence trading effective April 8, under the symbol “FRD." The company’s common stock will continue to trade on the NYSE American through market close on April 7.

The United States Forest Service has given Idaho Copper Corp. the go ahead to conduct exploration drilling related to its CuMo project in Boise County, Idaho. The USFS Boise National Forest found no significant impact under an environmental assessment, thereby approving the company's plan of operations.

Southern Coil Solutions, a pioneer in transforming metals storage through advanced automation and a commitment to sustainability, has launched its second facility, SCS-02. The facility is located in the Kentucky Transpark in Bowling Green.

Fagor Arrasate is supplying Ternium with five fully automated lines for processing steel coils of different thicknesses. Specifically, four slitting lines have been delivered for coils between 0.4 and 16-millimeter thick and one cut-to-length line for processing coils up to 25-millimeter thick.

Bull Moose Tube Limited will close its Burlington, Ontario, manufacturing facility, effective May 31. The facility has been operating under the Bull Moose banner since 1989, serving the Canadian market for more than 35 years.
