EVRAZ to Build Heat-Treat Facility in Alberta

By on
EVRAZ North America will build a new heat-treat facility at its Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, operation. The company has approved the engineering design work and ordered the long lead-time equipment for the project, designed to serve the oil country tubular goods market in Western Canada.

"This project will allow us to better meet the growing need for premium OCTG products by approximately doubling the installed OCTG heat-treat capacity in this region," says Conrad Winkler, president and CEO of EVRAZ North America. "This project, along with prior projects that expanded premium threading capacity and increased our premium connections offering, demonstrates our commitment to supporting the evolving requirements of energy exploration companies in North America.”

EVRAZ Red Deer is an ERW pipe mill producing small diameter OCTG, line pipe and EVRlock premium connections.
