Demag Cranes & Components Corp., Solon, Ohio, has a new addition to its popular DC Chain Hoist product line, the DCBS Chain Hoist with Balancer Functionality. This product offers precise positioning and intuitive load handling for the assembly line and manufacturing processes, particularly for handling fragile products.

This product offers precise positioning up to 350 pounds for the user’s assembly processes. Available in two models, it helps workers handle loads more efficiently by using light pressure to precisely control the load. Unlike traditional chain hoists that use a button or actuator to lift and lower the load, the DCBS Chain Hoist allows the load to be moved with light manual force on the control handle or the load itself, allowing load handling to be more ergonomic, efficient and safe. The DBCS Electric Balancer has a low cost of ownership. It requires no brake adjustment and uses regenerative braking to minimize brake wear for a longer life than that of traditional braking methods and is said to be virtually maintenance-free for 10 years.
