Kloeckner Opens Expanded Facility in Greenville, S.C.

By on
Kloeckner Metals Corp. recently opened its facility in Greenville, S.C., following the completion of an $11.3 million expansion. The upgraded facility includes a 50,000-square-foot bay with 43-ton cranes, as well as a new automated slitting line capable of processing advanced high-strength steels and aluminum.

The Roswell, Ga.-based service center announced the Greenville expansion in July. At the time, the company said the expansion and installation of its new high-speed, 84-inch-wide Alcos slitting line would allow it to meet increasing demand in the region and serve the growing automotive market in the Southeast.

In addition to its new processing abilities, the company said it plans to add 19 jobs at the Greenville site.

Kloeckner Metals stocks carbon and nonferrous metals at more than 50 locations throughout North America, and services over 8,000 metalworking businesses throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico, Mexico and Canada.
