MCN Top 50: Service Center Industry Giants

For the 10th straight year, Reliance is North America’s largest service center in Metal Center News’ annual survey, though revenues for the Los Angeles-based giant and most of the industry tumbled in 2016.

Revenues were down across the board for North America’s largest service centers. Total revenues for North America’s Top 50 service centers declined in 2016 for the third time in four years, reaching a low not seen since the depths of the 2009 recession. The Top 50 service centers in Metal Center News’ annual listing totaled $46.1 billion in revenue, an 8.3 percent decline, the second straight year of massive sales declines. In 2015, service center revenues were down 9.5 percent.
