Andes Coil Processors has added toll processing capacity at its Dallas facility. A new 72-inch Braner custom slitting line has been installed in addition to its existing 60-inch slitting line.
The new slitting line will process materials between 0.015 and 0.250 inches gauge and master coils measuring up to 78 inches outside diameter with a 60,000-pound maximum coil weight. The line features a Turret slitter head for quick setup change at 20- to 24-inch I.D. on uncoil and recoil.
“Increased market demand for 72-inch wide processing led us to make this move,” said Angie Connolly, general manager of Andes’ Texas facilities. “With the addition of this line, we will be able to maintain reasonable lead times for our loyal customer base in the Texas region, and provide expanded processing capabilities.”
The Dallas facility also has a 60-inch Pro-Eco custom slitting line with shape-correction capabilities.
