By on
Kirk Brannon, former president of Brannon Steel, has passed away at the age of 59.

Brannon began as a salesman with the Brampton, Ontario-based company in 1988 after completing his degree in business management from the University of Guelph. He moved up the ranks of the company over the next 20 years, becoming vice president and then president in 2008. As president, he focused the organization on customer service and quality which exponentially grew the business while continuing to foster a safe, family-values environment for all its employees.

Following in the footsteps of former President and Chairman Al Brannon, his uncle, he was actively engaged in the community and steel industry associations. Being an active member of the Brampton Board of Trade, The Headwaters Health Care Foundation, the Toronto Steel Buyers & Associates organization and as a board member of the North American Steel Alliance allowed Kirk to share his expertise and passion for causes he deeply cared for.
