Butech Bliss, Salem, Ohio, is designing, manufacturing and installing a stretch leveling cut-to-length line and a slitting line for a new service center.
In the third quarter of 2021, Feralloy Processing Company and Acero Prime will have a new operational 300,000-square-foot steel service center in Sinton, Texas. This new venture will significantly increase Feralloy/Acero Prime’s presence in the Gulf Coast region.
The new Butech Bliss stretch leveling cut-to-length line is rated up to 1 inch thick by 84 inches wide and can produce sheets 40 feet long inside the stacker. The line features a Synergy hydraulic roller leveler capable of handling the entire product range in a single leveler and is complete with a quick change roll cartridge system to minimize maintenance downtime. The stretch leveler features a 50-foot stretch bed and 2,800 tons of stretching force.
The new slitting line is rated up to 0.315 inch thick by 84 inches wide and can operate up to 600 fpm. The line will include several exclusive features including the patented Butech Bliss Scrap Chopper.
The stretch leveling cut-to-length line and the slitting line will enhance Feralloy/Acero Prime’s production of flat-rolled steel in their new service center.
