Former ABCO Executive Hole Passes Away

Jan 7, 2025Eric Richard Hole passed away Dec. 6, 2024, in Greenville, S.C., at the age of 66. Rick Hole worked the majority of his career at Pontiac-Mich.-based Aluminum Blanking Company, founded by his father Marvin Hole in 1979.
As one of ABCO's very first employees, he spent more than 35 years helping build one of the leading surface-sensitive toll processing companies in the country. Over the course of his career, he rose to become a respected leader in his field, known for his innovation and dedication, while making many friends in the industry he loved.
Rick Hole chose to venture out on his own in 2014, when he founded his own consulting company, Evolution13 (a name chosen in reference to aluminum’s place on the periodic table). He continued his work by helping companies achieve their goals by applying his experience, expertise and innovative approach to problem solving, leaving a lasting legacy within the metals industry.
He leaves behind his son Matthew; daughter Whitney; mother Barbara; siblings LeeAnn Hole, Laura Anderson, Dee Dee Niles, and Scott Hole; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Marvin Hole, founder of ABCO, an innovative design engineer, entrepreneur and expert in the field of coil processing and coil processing equipment.
