
Heather Malone has been appointed CEO of Target Steel, Flat Rock, Mich. The appointment was one of a flurry of executive promotions for North America’s 24th largest service center company.
Malone joined Target Steel in 2007, working in a variety of roles. According to the company, she has delivered results in some of the company’s most critical areas, including customer service, OEM supply chain management and operational leadership.
“Taking on this role is deeply meaningful to me and I’ve been fortunate to grow alongside a team that truly cares about doing things the right way,” she said. “As CEO, my focus is on building lasting partnerships, strengthening our operations and continuing to create opportunities for our people to thrive.”
Also, Matt Simone has been promoted to CEO of Target Metal Blanking. He has been serving as business development manager for Target Steel and TMB since April 2024. TMB also promoted Nick Renzi to COO and Mike Bruff to CCO.
At Target Steel, Mikey Simone was named commercial operations manager and Christina Smith has been promoted to director of operations
Finally, Melissa Russo has been named CFO of Target Industries and Valentino Simone, Jr. has been appointed vice president of toll processing.
Co-owners Valentino Simone and Michael Simone will remain with the company as co-chairmen.
