McNeilus Steel will invest $23.4 million to expand its presence in Tennessee. The company is locating a new operation in Morrison, located in Warren County in Central Tennessee.

McNeilus will construct a new manufacturing and distribution space on West Maple Street in Morrison. The Morrison site will be McNeilus’s second Tennessee plant and will provide steel distribution services not currently offered by the company’s operations in Morristown. Upon completion of the facility, McNeilus will hire warehousing, sales, human resources, information technology, maintenance and management positions.

McNeilus Steel, Inc. is a family-owned, full-line steel service center. The company houses more than 5,000 unique ferrous and nonferrous products, which are manufactured and shipped from McNeilus’ operations across Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin and Tennessee.

“We are excited to expand our operations to Middle Tennessee, specifically Warren County, which has been greatly supportive on this project. We are thrilled to join the community as an employer that values the contribution of each individual and demonstrates concern for health, safety and well-being of our employees and their families,” said Zachary Ernst, general manager, McNeilus Steel Inc.

McNeilus Steel is one of North America's largest service center companies, ranking 22nd in the 2023 MCN Top 50 with 2022 revenues of $989.6 million.
