Advanced Gauging Technologies has received an order from Ohio-Kentucky Steel for the company’s second AGT400 Thickness Gauge. The order comes on the heels of the first order placed earlier in the year.
The newest AGT400 will be installed on a 60-inch Stamco slitting line at the company’s Franklin, Ohio, facility. It will be used to measure various steel alloys, including galvanized steel, from 0.023 inches to 0.150 inches. Slitting lines are ideal for the AGT400 as in many cases the passline can have quite a bit of variance. The AGT400 is indifferent to this and will still provide the most accurate thickness reading possible.
Even in extremely dirty environments the AGT400 will perform flawlessly because it is impervious to dust, oil mist and other contaminants that may be in that air, AGT claims.
