Penn Stainless Products has installed a new Mach 700 Dynamic Waterjet System from Flow Corporation at its Quakertown facility. With two independent bridges, four cutting heads, and a 157-inch by 479-inch cutting envelope, the machine is a significant addition to Penn’s waterjet department, which now features six Flow units.
The new machine has speeds of up to 1400 ipm on a custom-engineered cutting table, designed for optimal material handling and support, Flow claims.
“Waterjet processing is a large – and growing – segment of our business, which more and more of our valued customers depend upon. Given the economic uncertainty everyone has felt the last six months, installation of the Mach 700 really exemplifies our ongoing commitment to both the market and our customers,” said Dan Seward, Penn Stainless’ executive vice president.
Penn Stainless is a full-line distributor of stainless steel sheet, plate, bar, structural, pipe and tubular products, stocking more than 30 grades across 30 product lines. It also offers a variety of processing services.
