Ryerson has signed a lease for a build-to-suit 900,000-square-foot service center facility in University Park, Ill. The site will serve as the new headquarters and operational hub for Central Steel & Wire.
The new facility is strategically located and will offer a “great customer experience across a broad geographical area,” Ryerson executives said.
“This new facility represents an opportunity to modernize and grow our business, underscoring our commitment to the CS&W brand that is proudly more than 110 years in the making and continuing to prosper because of the unwavering support of our customers and my CS&W colleagues,” said CS&W president Jack Barger.
Ryerson acquired CS&W in 2018. Earlier this year, Amazon agreed to purchase the Central Steel & Wire site on the southwest side of Chicago.
