Tampa Steel & Supply, a veteran-owned metal fabrication and services center in Tampa, Fla., has launched a new online store, Urban Metals. The site will provide custom plasma-cut metal art to the Tampa Bay area and beyond, shipping nationally.
Customers at Urban Metals, whether in-person or online, can browse a collection of designs including U.S. Armed Forces logos, animal art and customizable signs, as well as submit their own designs to be custom-cut.
“While so many people have been stuck at home, they’ve gotten all kinds of great home-improvement ideas,” said Troy Underwood, owner & CEO. “We created Urban Metals to help bring those ideas from concept to reality by giving customers the opportunity to buy or design their own metal art.”
In honor of the launch and Military Appreciation Month, Urban Metals will donate 10 percent of all sales in May and June to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation , a Tampa-based national charity that supports the families of fallen and severely wounded Special Operations warriors.
“The military has afforded me great opportunity across generations; my father was in the Army’s 7th Special Forces group,” said Underwood, an Army veteran himself. “It’s only fitting that we use this opportunity to give back to veterans and their families in need, especially during these difficult times.”
