thyssenkrupp Materials North America Inc., Southfield, Mich., a production materials provider and distributor of nonferrous metals, recently updated the functionality of its e-commerce customer portal – b2b.tkmna.com.
New functions on b2b.tkmna.com enable customers of the Copper and Brass Sales Division to buy metal alloys online in all shapes and sizes, and gives them the ability to duplicate the purchase of a previous order quickly. Machine shops and other Copper and Brass Sales customers can also obtain quotes for a variety of metal, and processing services and re-quote past orders.
In addition to accessing a variety of real-time, account-specific information and account functions, the portal provides shipment tracking and options to perform a variety of reporting tasks for delivery notices, invoices, MSDS, mill test reports and order history.
The portal was launched in 2014 and has been adopted by many customers as an invaluable tool for metal processing and purchasing, the company claims.
