Wieland Acquires Morgan Bronze Products

By on
Wieland has further expanded its growing U.S. holdings with the acquisition of Morgan Bronze Products. Lake Zurich, Ill.-based Morgan is a manufacturer of finished parts and components, with a focus on copper-based and high-performing alloys.

The acquisition adds precision machined components for growth markets such as aerospace to Wieland's product portfolio, the company claimed. It is a strategic fit with Wieland's engineered products business.

The 77-year-old company supplies its long-term customer base with bushings, bearings and washers as well as customized industrial ready-to-mount parts and components.

“By integrating Morgan Bronze, we gain an experienced and skilled team and broaden Wieland’s manufacturing, assembly and service capabilities for engineered products in North America. The acquisition allows us to strengthen our footprint in growth markets like aerospace and defense and to enlarge our product solutions in industrial, transportation and heavy equipment applications,” said Dr. Erwin Mayr, CEO of Wieland.
