Worthington Steel has named the new leadership team for the company once the separation of Worthington Industries is complete. Worthington Steel will cover the company’s value-added steel processing and production of electrical steel laminations and automotive lightweighting solutions.

Jeff Klingler, who had been serving as president of Steel Processing, will become executive vice president and COO. Tim Adams will become the vice president and CFO of Worthington Steel. He has been serving as vice president of strategy and corporate development for the Steel Processing business since 2012.

Geoff Gilmore had previously been named president and CEO of the separated company.

As previously announced, the Worthington 2024 plan will result in two independent, publicly traded companies. The other entity is being called New Worthington, and will include the company’s Consumer Products, Building Products and Sustainable Energy Solutions businesses.

Reporting to New Worthington President and CEO Andy Rose will be Joey Hayek, new executive vice president and chief financial and operations officer; Eric Smolenski, president of Building Products and Sustainable Energy Solutions; Steve Caravati, president, Consumer Products; and Sonya Higginbotham, senior vice president and chief of corporate affairs, communications and sustainability.
