IMTS 2024 Technology On Display

By on
McCormick Place will open its doors to the Western Hemisphere’s largest manufacturing trade show this September.
The International Manufacturing Technology Show, IMTS, will be held Sept. 9-14 at the Chicago facility. The show, presented by the Association for Manufacturing Technology, is held every two years.
In 2022, more than 86,000 people attended the event.
More than 1,800 exhibitors from the manufacturing space will display products and solutions over the six-day event. Additional educational programs are conducted throughout the length of the show.
Exhibitors will fill four halls of McCormick Place: East Building Level 3, West Building, North Building and South Building. Exhibits are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day in the East and West buildings and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily in the North and South buildings.
Additionally, the Smartforce Student Summit will be held each day on Level 2 of the East Building. The summit is designed to introduce young people to the possibility of a STEM career in manufacturing.   Registration is available at www.imts.com

KASTO -Booth 237004
KASTOsort tower is the space-saving, highly productive solution for pre-processing, including sorting. It automates the sawing and storage process 24/7. KASTOsort tower is ideal for metalworking companies as it can be used as a highly productive, fully automatic solution or as a supplement to a KASTOvariospeed or KASTOtec with or without a KASTOsort robot.
The KASTOsort tower has been honored twice in 2024. It was named the first-place winner in Industrial Production in the category of Handling, Assembly and Production. It was also the second-place winner in material flow product of the year in the category of Order Picking Technology.
For the first time, the KASTOsort tower creates a large capacity of buffer spaces on the outfeed side of the saw. It enables optimum allocation of the saw cuts to the corresponding customer orders - regardless of the sawing sequence. Thanks to its space-saving design, the KASTOsort tower can be adapted extremely flexibly to local conditions.

HE&M Saw - Booth 237323
The HE&M Saw WF1827A dual-column wide flange band saw is known for sawing excellence in cutting bundles and structural shapes. This is largely due to the engineering that went into the design.  The 9.2-degree positive blade cant is designed to facilitate better blade-tooth loading while also aiding in relieving stresses in beams, reducing blade pinching problems and providing faster cut times.
Full stroking bi-directional vises, including the bar-feed’s shuttle vise, greatly reduce the chance for bundle straps or crooked material to hang up on vises as the material advances through the saw during the cutting process.
Now with HE&M Saw’s Smart Saw control, the touch screen allows the operator to set the saw up to cut manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic jobs. The jobs are easily entered and stored in a Job Library for later recall and use.

DoALL - Booth 236949
The DCDS-340CNC-X brings unparalleled precision, efficiency and increased productivity to cutting operations.  The new saw offers several features:
* Unmatched Precision: Swivel head, cuts miter angles up to 60 degrees right and 45 degrees left for versatile cutting.
* Efficiency Redefined: Automatic and semi-automatic cycles and direct-driven band drive.
* Productivity Amplified: Automatically cuts multiple parts quickly and precisely.
Other DoALL cutting machines, high-performance band saw blades and cutting fluids will be showcased at IMTS.
